Join Pitt Program Council for “Overcoming Adversity: Turning a Disadvantage to an Advantage” on Wednesday, March 1st.

RJ Mitte is best know for his roll as Walt Jr. in AMC’s hit show, Breaking Bad. While he played a character with cerebral palsy, not many fans of the show were aware that RJ himself has lived with cerebral palsy since his diagnosis at age 3. He no longer requires crutches to walk, however it is still a large part of his life. RJ is a celebrity ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy, an international nonprofit charitable organization that advocates for those with the disorder.

RJ will be speaking about his career, and the challenges of his physical disability, plus how he learned to conquer it and turn it into a career asset.

Tickets go on sale Monday January 30th for free in the WPU ticket office. Limit two tickets per transaction.

All Pitt Program council events are open to all Pitt, non-CGS students with a valid (Oakland) Student ID.
Students with disabilities are encouraged to contact the Pitt Program Council at or by phone at 412-648-7900 for proper accommodations.
