Calling all Halloween enthusiasts! Join the Pitt Program Council in a celebration of the art of spooky makeup and special effects! This masterclass taught by Oui Cosmetics owner and former Hollywood Special Effects Makeup Artist Kim Dunn features a guided tutorial for three different Halloween looks ranging from beginner level to a more intermediate difficulty. No prior experience is required to recreate these movie extra looks ranging from the classic zombie, different skeletal variations, and prosthetic application.
The masterclass will be held on Friday, October 23rd from 9pm EST to 11pm EST via Zoom. Students will be admitted to the event via the waiting room starting at 8:45pm EST the night of the event. Pre-registration is required in order to attend! Students can sign-up for FREE here: https://pitt.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9TP7KbYh2S00DWd.
Starting on September 21st, the first 50 students to sign up will receive their own curated special effects artist kit (though some materials (i.e. foundation) will not be provided on the assumption that a majority of participants will already own applicable products) that will allow them to follow along with the masterclass. Sign-ups will close October 1st at 5pm EST to allow for the kits to be ordered prior to the event. Students will receive pick-up/shipping information, as well as information regarding the Zoom meeting, closer to the event date.
All Pitt Program Council events are open to all undergraduate Pitt students with a valid (Oakland) Student ID.
Students with disabilities are encouraged to contact the Pitt Program Council at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 412-648-7900 for proper accommodations.
